DR. WILLIAM SCHEFER, ND
Dr. Schefer is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, he is the founder and owner of True Nature Healing Center. Raised in Long Island, New York, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami. He then went on to complete his medical training at Bastyr University in San Diego, California.
Dr. Schefer specializes in the treatment of chronic diseases. His practice is based on the premise that through adequate cleansing of the body health can be restored. He combines lifestyle interventions and unique protocols to cleanse the body of cellular waste and toxins and restore health.
Dr. Schefer’s passion for natural medicine was instilled by his personal journey with chronic neurological symptoms. After being diagnosed with Lyme Disease and trying numerous treatments and flying to different clinics around the country, he was left feeling defeated as his symptoms continued to worsen. With a deep belief in the innate ability of the body to heal any condition, Dr. Schefer discovered the power of raw fruits, vegetables, and fasting to cleanse his body. He soon experienced optimal health and his passion for natural healing was born.
Dr. Schefer believes that all people, no matter what the condition, are capable of experiencing optimal health. It is this belief that is the driving force for his practice.
