NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

Naturopathic Medical Doctors graduate from a four year nationally accredited medical program. They are licensed to practice after passing Naturopathic Physician Licensing Examinations (NPLEX). They are trained as primary care physicians and thus treat and manage a variety of health conditions. Naturopathic medicine focuses on achieving optimal health by getting to the root cause of health issues and naturally supporting your body’s own self healing processes to overcome them. A thorough assessment of your current health and health history is taken, comprehensive lab testing is ordered, and pertinent physical examinations are performed. Treatment plans are then customized to fit the needs of the patient and address supplementation, diet, lifestyle, and exercise. It utilizes diverse modalities including botanicals, nutrient supplementation, physical medicine, homeopathic remedies, and pharmaceutical medicine when necessary. Naturopathic medicine is holistic, meaning it addresses the whole body and mind as one synergistic unit of health.
